Rollback the calabash gem version to 0.0.1

Hi all,

Xamarin manages several calabash gems.

  • calabash-cucumber - 0.12.2 - iOS only
  • calabash-android - 0.5.5
  • calabash - 1.2.1

We are in the process of merging the calabash-cucumber and calabash-android gems into a single gem: calabash.

We would really like this to be a calabash 1.0.0 release. At the moment calabash is at version 1.2.1.

I am trying to sort why calabash is at version 1.2.1- I can't find any public source code that could have generated this release. To the best of my knowledge this was meant to be a convenience gem for people who are doing cross-platform UI testing on Android and iOS. At the moment, a $ gem install calabash cannot install a version of calabash-cucumber that is compatible with Xcode 6. To put it bluntly, if anyone is using this gem, they shouldn't be.

We are well into the merge and would like to start releasing at 0.0.1 to give our users a chance to preview the proposed changes to the API.

Is it possible to roll back the version number?

Thanks! Keep up the great work!

Joshua

Our policy is to not allow repushing of gem versions. They are essentially immutable for this reason- so you can depend on them and not have them disappear and be replaced entirely.

I'd suggest going to 2.0.0 for everything or renaming entirely.
