someone has acquired ownership of a gem without my permission

28 Jan, 2011 08:58 AM lists 'dpicket' as an owner. I've never added him as an owner as I am the sole maintainer of the gem and Adam Salter (the other owner) passed away over a year ago, so I know it wasn't him who added him.

How did this person become an owner? I'd remove him but then he could just re-add himself.

I've read the owner docs at but I am unclear how authentication/authorization works for this command.

Any help would be appreciated.

Did this get resolved? Looks like you're on the gem now...

    No this is not resolved.

dpicket is listed as an Owner of the gem but I don't know who this person is. How can I remove him as an owner? (And how did he add himself??)

Looks like this has been taken care of.

Dan must have pushed the gem on his own early in Gemcutter's life, he was one of the first users to help me out. :) Glad this has been worked out.
