I am having issues with the australian CDN.

sam@ubuntu discourse % gem install onebox
ERROR: Could not find a valid gem 'onebox' (>= 0), here is why:
Unable to download data from https://rubygems.org/ - too many connection resets (https://au-m.rubygems.org/quick/Marshal.4.8/onebox-1.4.5.gemspec.rz)

Anything I can do to workaround the issue

Also having the same problem. Haven't been able to find a workaround yet. Setting --source on `gem install` to any other rubygems.org mirror doesn't seem to have any impact.

One workaround is to download the gem file manually (e.g. http://au-m.rubygems.org/gems/turbolinks-2.3.0.gem --> http://production.s3.rubygems.org/gems/turbolinks-2.3.0.gem) and then `gem install turbolinks-2.3.0.gem`. Looks like it's just some gems that are missing.

I have encountered issues with newrelic_rpm, turbolinks and grancher so far. It appears to be gems that have been updated recently and the latest versions return an empty response from au-m.

Attempting to download the gems from http://rubygems.org always returns a 302 redirect to http://au-m.rubygems.org.

The workaround suggested does not work for me. I cannot download the affected gems in any way.

The problem should now be resolved. The cache was misconfigured on the mirror and the disc was filled up. Nginx doesn't deal well with that condition.
