We currently has a heavy dependency on ruby gems and I want to
accelerate performance by setting up a local mirror, which would
also, as a bonus, eliminate an external dependency on deployments.
Where can I find the current disk space requirements for running
internal mirrors of rubygems?

We don't have this listed publicly right now. We need to do a
better job of making it easier to run a mirror and spin one up.
It's way too hard right now and has been like that forever. If
you're available to help with that we could really use it.
