Private Gems

Is there a way to host a private gem that only certain people can get access to?

    We talked about this for a while a few months back, I'm still of the opinion it would conflict with the site being an open, free service for the community to use.

    Usually for organizations I suggest they use geminabox if they need a private gem server:

    http://github.com/cwninja/geminabox/
