Last month when I tried to push the 4.2.0 release of Sequel, I got a 500 error (http://help.rubygems.org/discussions/problems/8490-getting-500-error-when-attempting-to-push-gem). Now I'm trying to push the 4.3.0 release of Sequel and getting a 405 error:

$ gem push -v sequel-4.3.0.gem
HEAD http://gems.rubyforge.org/latest_specs.4.8.gz
301 Moved Permanently
HEAD https://rubygems.org/latest_specs.4.8.gz

HEAD https://s3.amazonaws.com/production.s3.rubygems.org/latest_specs.4.8.gz

<head><title>405 Not Allowed</title></head>
<body bgcolor="white">

</html>

I tried with ruby 2.0.0/rubygems 2.0.3 and ruby 1.8.7/rubygems 1.8.23, same results in both cases.

    To clarify, I got the error using "bundle exec rake release" on my gem.

    ditto.

    ...and I may have made things worse(?) retying to resolve it. I upgraded rvm and ruby 2.0.0p247 and now I'm just getting this:

    $gem push -v pkg/ugc-0.9.8.gem
    HEAD https://rubygems.org/latest_specs.4.8.gz
    302 Moved Temporarily
    ERROR: While executing gem ... (RuntimeError)
        Can't find 'rubygems-update' in any repo. Check `gem source list`.

    This has been resolved. There was an issue with the app server.
