I cannot install rdoc-3.8.
When installing from ruby, I get
ERROR: While executing gem ... (Gem::RemoteFetcher::FetchError)

bad response Service Unavailable 503 (

When I try just to download gem from the web browser, I get the message
CAP Error (icap_error)

An error occurred while performing an ICAP operation: File decompression/decode error; File: rdoc-3.8.gem; Sub File: \data.tar.gz\Gzip\test/binary.dat\Gzip; Vendor: Sophos, Plc.; Engine error code: 0xA004021A; Engine version: 3.21.0; Pattern version: 4.67G.2704175.2080063652; Pattern date: 2011/07/26 11:47:00
There could be a network problem, the ICAP service may be misconfigured, or the ICAP server may have reported an error.

This happens for this one gem only, the other gems do not cause any problems... I tried to do some google search, but I have not found anything useful...

This one was buried in our spam filter, just unearthed it. Sorry.

This looks like it was a temporary Amazon S3/CloudFront issue.

Is this still happening for you?

I can confirm this error; it's still happening for me.

Your error message mentions ICAP and Sophos, which appears to be a virus-scanning transparent proxy server.

I can download and unpack rdoc-3.8 on my machine, so it must be a bug of your proxy server when encountering test/binary.dat (a truncated tar.gz file) inside the rdoc test directory for rdoc 3.8. You should report this issue to your network administrators and/or sophos who sold you the proxy server.

Ah, good to know it's on "our" site then. Thanks Eric!
