This is what I did
from scratch with a blank gem.

bundle gem my-gem
gem build my-gem.gemspec
gem push my-gem-0.0.1.gem

In between, I did edit the gemspec file to fill up my
information. The problem I am having is that when I try to install
it,

gem install my-gem

I get this error,

ERROR: Could not find a valid gem 'jaryl' (>= 0) in any repository

What am I missing?

Jaryl Simtag:help.rubygems.org,2010-01-19:Comment/65349772011-04-10T06:38:42Z2011-04-10T06:38:43ZCannot gem install my own gem

It's working now, so I'm thinking that it takes some time before

up once we figured that out. It should take less than a minute for
new gems to show up otherwise.

Nick Quaranto
