wrong gem installed on gem install

gem install deputy
Successfully installed deploy_and_deliver-1.0.2
1 gem installed
!?!?!?

only affects me afaik, any ideas how this can happen ? (on rubygems 1.3 and 1.4.2)

   $ gem install deputy

   1 gem installed

   RubyGems 1.4.2, works for me, no github or any other unknown gem source.

   Please provide the full output of "gem env".

   imo its no general error with deputy gem, it works fine on our servers/coworkers machines, just failing for me

   it works after rm -rf ~/.gem/specs/
   maybe it has something to do with using rake install, e.g. deputy is a gem i also 'rake install'-ed some time ago
