cucumber-nagios installation error

Hi,

Today i started online instalation of cucumber-nagios in my windows machine, but during installation following error comes:

C:\Documents and Settings\gangunra>gem install cucumber-nagios
Building native extensions. This could take a while...
ERROR: Error installing cucumber-nagios:
ERROR: Failed to build gem native extension.

I also installed developmentkit 3.4.5 but the issue persists, I have Ruby version 1.8.7
Also, I installed nagios a unix machine. Do i need to install cucumber-nagios on the same machine or i can install it in different machine.Als can i install cucumber-nagios in windows machine.

   Usually gems on windows need special native extensions to be built for those architectures. I would bring this up with the maintainers of that gem that it doesn't work on Windows.
