email to activate my account. Nothing in my inbox or spam folders.
I also had to try and register at least 5 times as I was directed
to an "Internal Error" page every time I pressed the submit
button.

stevendgarciatag:help.rubygems.org,2010-01-19:Comment/33209792010-10-22T01:08:42Z2010-10-22T01:08:42ZNo registration email received

Hi there,

Your account's email seems confirmed now, are you signed in ok now? And yeah, the sign up form is a known bug.

Nick Quarantotag:help.rubygems.org,2010-01-19:Comment/33209792012-01-07T18:40:27Z2012-01-07T18:40:28ZNo registration email received

It seems I am hitting the same problem here ...

Is there anything I can do ?

I tried to Sign-Up and got error page.

I asked for a reset of my password (maybe I was already
subscribed?),
but got no mail.

Probably this failed because my handle was too long
(more than 15 chars, I had tried with 'petervandenabeele')

I retried later with peter_v and that worked.

But now I am on another e-mail address.

Because my primary e-mail address (peter@vandenabeele.com)
is blocked in the database ...

Thanks,

Peter

Peter Vandenabeeletag:help.rubygems.org,2010-01-19:Comment/33209792012-01-07T19:21:44Z2012-08-04T18:27:28ZNo registration email received

Something weird is definitely going on. I tried logging in
earlier and my password wasn't working so I hit the Forgot Password
link and it said my email wasnt registered in the database, so I
signed up from scratch again, and when I finally logged in it
appears my old account was restored. Bizarre!

stevendgarciatag:help.rubygems.org,2010-01-19:Comment/33209792012-01-11T15:31:29Z2012-01-11T15:31:29ZNo registration email received

Hey Peter,

Sorry about the hassle. Sounds like you have two accounts...can
you tell me the handles/emails of both and I can merge them?

Nick Quarantotag:help.rubygems.org,2010-01-19:Comment/33209792012-01-11T17:06:05Z2012-08-04T18:27:28ZNo registration email received

Hi Nick,

Many thanks for following up :-)

I would like to keep the following:

handle peter_v (I have that one on the working account)

e-mail peter@vandenabeele.com

gravatar automatic from peter@vandenabeele.com
(although I like the new one on peter.vandenabeele.be@gmail.com
more ... time to change from rain to sun, but both happen when
sailing ...).

I saw in the support manual that you need confirmation that I
own both
e-mail addresses:
* peter@vandenabeele.com *
peter.vandenabeele.be@gmail.com

I am willing to prove that ... e.g. send a "secret" e-mail to
both and I will respond.

Thanks again !

Peter
peter@vandenabeele.com
<a href=

<a href=

ROOT CAUSE probably too long handle (petervandenabeele is over
15 chars).

Peter Vandenabeeletag:help.rubygems.org,2010-01-19:Comment/33209792012-08-04T17:46:54Z2012-08-04T17:46:54ZNo registration email received

This never got resolved...is this still a problem?

Nick Quaranto
