No registration email received

I registered about a half hour ago and have not received the email to activate my account. Nothing in my inbox or spam folders. I also had to try and register at least 5 times as I was directed to an "Internal Error" page every time I pressed the submit button.

    Hi there,

    Your account's email seems confirmed now, are you signed in ok now? And yeah, the sign up form is a known bug.

    It seems I am hitting the same problem here ...

    Is there anything I can do ?

    I tried to Sign-Up and got error page.

    I asked for a reset of my password (maybe I was already subscribed?),
    but got no mail.

    Probably this failed because my handle was too long
    (more than 15 chars, I had tried with 'petervandenabeele')

    I retried later with peter_v and that worked.

    But now I am on another e-mail address.

    Because my primary e-mail address ([email blocked])
    is blocked in the database ...

    Something weird is definitely going on. I tried logging in earlier and my password wasn't working so I hit the Forgot Password link and it said my email wasnt registered in the database, so I signed up from scratch again, and when I finally logged in it appears my old account was restored. Bizarre!

    Sorry about the hassle. Sounds like you have two accounts...can you tell me the handles/emails of both and I can merge them?

    Many thanks for following up :-)

    I would like to keep the following:

    • handle peter_v (I have that one on the working account)
    • e-mail [email blocked]
    • gravatar automatic from [email blocked] (although I like the new one on [email blocked] more ... time to change from rain to sun, but both happen when sailing ...).

    I saw in the support manual that you need confirmation that I own both
    e-mail addresses:
    * [email blocked] * [email blocked]

    I am willing to prove that ... e.g. send a "secret" e-mail to both and I will respond.

    ROOT CAUSE probably too long handle (petervandenabeele is over 15 chars).
