I am getting the following error when trying to install any gems. I took a break from Ruby while picking up some Java and when I returned I'm stuck with this.

➜ Ruby git:(master) ✗ gem install pry --verbose
ERROR: Could not find a valid gem 'pry' (>= 0), here is why:
          Unable to download data from https://rubygems.org/ - SSL_connect returned=1 errno=0 state=SSLv2/v3 read server hello A: tlsv1 alert protocol version (https://rubygems.org/latest_specs.4.8.gz)

Hi Thomas -- thanks for writing in. Sorry you're having this problem. Are you behind a firewall or proxy? Is this still happening? Sometimes we see this kind of thing happen intermittently.

Have you tried updating to the latest versions of openssl and bundler?
