gem fcgi 0.8.8 is actually fcgi 0.8.7

gem fcgi on rubygems have version 0.8.8 but it is actually 0.8.7
the real fcgi 0.8.8 was released on 2010-02-09 and can be found at http://rubyforge.org/projects/fcgi/
how its possible to update fcgi gem at rubygems?

    The author will need to update it on RubyGems. We cannot.

    I don't know. I would start by looking at the RubyForge project URL you linked above.
