<p>Please focus on the following error in the output:</p>
<p>/usr/share/ruby/2.0.0/mkmf.rb:434:in `try_do': The compiler
failed to generate an executable file. (RuntimeError)<br>
You have to install development tools first.</p>
<p>Do you have gcc installed? you also need libffi package
installed.</p>
<p>compass depends on ffi gem, which requires a compiler and also
the libffi<br>
package.</p>

be, that the ffi build looks in '/usr/bin' for 'gcc-4.2'</p>
<p>if you have gcc installed, just create a symlink within /usr/bin
by typing</p>
<p>'sudo ln -s gcc gcc-4.2'</p>
