Gem that is allegedly "removed from index" is still visible.

If you go to

you still see "eligo-pricing-model2" gem which has been yanked.

This shouldn't be happening. Yanked gem name should not be displayed in any shape or form anywhere (that does NOT counter the "gem should not be accessible" idea, i.e. the person who has the URL may still be able to access it, but people should have no way of DISCOVERING the URL).

    This is by design. Yanking just hides the gem from being shown in the index. It is meant by design to allow downloads still.

    Once I get some free time I can get this deleted. Please keep in mind that RubyGems is a 100% volunteer run service.

    Yes, but that's what I'm saying: if it's "not showing in the index" then why is it showing in "select * from index where submitter_name = 'blah' "?

    When we say "removed from the index" we mean uninstallable:

    $ gem search eligo-pricing-model2
    *** REMOTE GEMS ***
