I'm trying to install the bundler gem (and a few others just in case this issue is restricted just to bundler...it isn't) and I receive the following error message:

○ → gem install bundler
ERROR: Could not find a valid gem 'bundler' (>= 0), here is why:
Unable to download data from https://rubygems.org/ - Errno::ETIMEDOUT: Operation timed out - connect(2) (https://api.rubygems.org/latest_specs.4.8.gz) ERROR: Possible alternatives: bundler

Same goes with nokogiri:

○ → gem install nokogiri
ERROR: Could not find a valid gem 'nokogiri' (>= 0), here is why:
Unable to download data from https://rubygems.org/ - Errno::ETIMEDOUT: Operation timed out - connect(2) (https://api.rubygems.org/latest_specs.4.8.gz) ERROR: Possible alternatives: nokogiri

Same goes with a2z:

○ → gem install a2z
ERROR: Could not find a valid gem 'a2z' (>= 0), here is why:
Unable to download data from https://rubygems.org/ - Errno::ETIMEDOUT: Operation timed out - connect(2) (https://api.rubygems.org/quick/Marshal.4.8/a2z-0.1.3.gemspec.rz)

I couldn't find any similar problems through a google search. My gem version is 2.2.2 and I'm running MacOS Mavericks.

    Updating rubygems version from 2.2.2 to 2.3.0 with gem update --system command seems to fix the issue.
