We delete our gem home, install bundler 1.3.5 and do bundle install for every build(using jruby). Since yesterday(21 Oct 2013) we started getting infinite redirects and spits out the following error,

Looks like its fixed on bundler 1.4.0.rc.1 and bundler upgrade would fix it. But its upgrading to an RC. Also we are wondering what changed that caused the issue.

I just wanted to mention that I recently started seeing the same issue as of today. It's happening on a project running jruby 1.6.7.2. As far as OS/Java, I'm running OS X Mavericks with Java 1.6.0_65.

I switched the project over to jruby 1.7.4, and a bundle install worked properly. Testing with a lower jruby version (1.6.3) also caused the issue to occur.

And like Vinay mentioned, upgrading to the bundler 1.4.0.rc1 yielded success for me.

    Thanks for replying Jonathan.

The reason upgrading jruby works is because jruby 1.7.4 includes jruby-openssl.

So one other way to fix this problem is to install jruby-openssl gem outside bundler(before doing bundle install) without need to upgrade either jruby or bundler.

    Is this still happening?

As of this past Friday, yes, it still is. One of my colleagues encountered the same issue for the first time on that day.
